Miracle:	My name is Roopa Vernekar- I am from Mangalore- India. I had posted a miracle a few weeks ago.. I came to the US around 10 years back after I got married. I used to visit India every 2-3 years during November - January. The miracle that I am going to narrate happened in the year 2003. The year was 2003- around April- I decided to visit India the next year(2004) during Shravana Masa (Aug-Sept) so that I could attend Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s Aradhana function at the mutt in Mangalore and it had been more than 7 years or so since I celebrated Ganesha Chathurthi with my family members. That very night I had a dream- not an auspicious one though. I dreamt that I had gone to the mutt to attend the Aradhana function- and as I was entering the mutt from the back door (We used to have the water taps to wash our feet at the back side of the mutt and we used to enter the mutt from the back door)- I saw people coming out of the back door to wash their hands- I could see that they had already eaten maha Prasad- I was disappointed thinking that I had no luck of eating the mahaprasad- and somehow I entered the mutt. Once inside the mutt- I could see nothing- it was pitch dark. Even the place where Rayaru’s Brindavana is located was dark and I could see nothing. (This is a very bad omen). I was feeling very scared and then I heard the poojari calling for mantrakshate and thirtha. I felt very bad- I prayed to Sri Rayaru- “Swamy what is this? I had come to attend your Aradhana function- I did not even get your Darshana or your prasada”. Then something happened. I was standing in front of the Brindavana- and all of a sudden I could see Sri Rayaru’s brindavana and the Golden kavacha just like the one in the moola Brindavana of Mantralaya. I felt very happy- then I went where the poojari was distributing mantrakshate. I was given thirtha and he put around me a tulasi maala with Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s pendant and the people who were there exclaimed that it was how Sri Raghavendra Swamy was sitting in his Brindavana. And the dream ended there. I did not think much about the dream- The dream did not mean anything to me- but I was happy that I got to see Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s Brindavana in my dream. But the series of events that took place when I visited India- still amaze me and I marvel at HIS grace. I could not go to India the following year - 2004- but I visited India in 2005- August- so that I could attend Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s Aradhana function. I always go to my in-laws place in Davanagere after I land in Bangalore- stay there for 3-4 days and then go to my parents place in Mangalore. When I reached Davanagere- I came to know from my in-laws that a distant relative had passed away 3 days back and we had “sootaka” for next 13 days and we were not supposed to go to any temples or do any pooja and the Aradhana day was within the 13 days. And I was told that I COULD NOT was NOT supposed to attend Aradhana Function. Upon hearing this I was so shocked and disappointed- and felt extremely sad thinking that I did not have Sri Raghavendra Swamy’s Grace. I had visited India to attend Aradhana function and I was deprived of the happiness that I was craving for. I was feeling the same way- I felt in my dream when I found that there was no Prasad for me or no darshan of Sri Rayaru. I spoke to my in-laws asking them is there a way out of the situation- is there some kind of parihara- so that I can attend the pooja. I was badly ridiculed- saying that it was against the dharma to attend any temple during sootaka time. I called up my mom and she too told me the same that I could not attend the mutt. But I was not going to give up so easily. I begged my husband to take me to Mangalore- because we had decided we would be there 2 days prior to the Aradhana- and he agreed. Once I reached Mangalore- I called up the mutt and explained to them my situation and asked the manager if there was a way out of this situation? I told him I had come all the way from US to attend the Aradhana function. I also told him that if I would not be permitted to enter the mutt- then I would stand on the road side and take my Prasad there- but there was no way- I would leave India without eating his Maha Prasad. The manager told me that he would ask the main archaka and let me know- and I should not be disappointed- If I was so determined then maybe they could do some shuddhi and allow me to attend the function- have faith in Sri Rayaru. I was supposed to call him back in the evening – and I did. He asked me if the relative had died more than 5 days ago- and I said yes. The manager told me that if it was past 5 days- then I could attend the mutt- there would be no problem at all. All I had to do was take head bath before coming to the mutt. I was extremely happy when I heard the manager say that. Myself and my husband and our son got to attend the function for 3 days and we got to sit near the garbha gudi during the pooja. Also we did Kanakabhisheka and I got a small golden pendant of Sri Raghavendra Swamy (just like the one in my dream). I had never done a kanakabhisheka before and I had no clue that we would get a golden pendant. The real miracle is not that I got to attend the Aradhana function instead of all the hurdles- but how Sri Raghavendra Swamy warned me in my dream that something like this would happen 2 years later and he would take care of it!! I did not understand it then- but now when I think back about the dream and the series of incidents that happened later - after I visited India- my heart fills with joy- how Sri Raghavendra Swamt takes care of his devotees- and we – the so called devotees of Sri Rayaru are so ignorant of his love and affection for us. One small problem and we feel that Sri Rayaru has abandoned us!!
